KSDS receives seal
The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America.

These members have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to annually certify, document, and demonstrate they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program and cost effectiveness.

These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world.

Of the 1 million charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 5%, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal.

Ways to Donate:

There are many ways to donate to KSDS. Donations assist in the operation of KSDS including the conduction of the specialized training of the assistance dogs.

Online Giving
Making a donation through our secure server is fast and easy, and when we receive your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement in the mail for tax purposes. We accept VISA and MasterCard. Thank you for your support!

Please note: We use a nonprofit service to process our credit card transactions. LOC IND CH ORG is the name that will appear on your statement, not KSDS. Using a 3rd party helps us keep our costs low and allows us to spend more time and money on our programs! All donations are tax deductible. Our Federal ID # is 48-1080879.

Memorial/Honorarium Donations
Donations honoring/memorializing someone (or a special pet) will be mentioned in The Pathway. Another option is our Cheers to Careers Memorial Program. With a $50 donation, you will get a personalized inscription (15 words max.) on a brass plate placed on a puzzle piece in the Cheers to Careers display located in the Training Building at KSDS.

Sponsor a Team
Each service or guide team is valued at $15,000. You or your company can support a team providing things like housing, training, veterinary care, equipment, travel and other related expenses. In return, you will receive a beautiful, walnut plaque with a picture of the team and an inscription thanking you for that support. This is a great display item for your office or home. A plaque will also be placed at KSDS.

Sponsor a Puppy or a Litter
KSDS chooses to name puppies by giving each litter a theme to follow when names are chosen (example - the Snake litter). This helps to prevent the use of common names that may be repeated.
You will receive updates regarding the puppy as it transitions through puppy hood.
